Architect Darryl Croome designed, well known for his timeless elegance and conscious approach to context has used an alternative building construction, commonly known as the Aruba system. Permanent formwork of modular expanded polystyrene blocks interlock, Lego like, with monolithic concrete infill cements the frame into place. Glass sliding doors disappear entirely into concealed “pockets” creating a versatile indoor-outdoor flow. Similarly, the custom made steel shutters offer privacy, shade control and security.
